How do I become a GOHJA member?
Print out a copy of the Membership Application above and mail it along with your payment to the address shown on the application.  You can also get a membership application from the Show Secretary at any GOHJA show or use the application printed in the back of each GOHJA horse show program.
 
What does it cost to become a member?
For 2007, the rates are:
Family membership = $25
Senior membership = $20
Junior membership = $15
Organization membership = $25 (includes one Senior membership)
Lifetime membership = $200
 
Who do I make my check out to?
Make all membership checks payable to "Greater Orlando Hunter Jumper Association".
 
How long does my membership last?
Your membership begins when the application and fee are received by GOHJA and expires on November 30.  Memberships are not retroactive.  In November, current GOHJA members will be mailed a renewal application for the coming show year.
 
Who needs to become a GOHJA member?
1.  GOHJA Board members, Officers, Committee Chairpersons and Committee members.
2.  Horse Show Owners, Horse Show Managers and Horse Show Stewards for all GOHJA sanctioned horse shows.
3.  Any rider wishing to compete in the Mini-Medal, Pony Medal or Medal classes at a GOHJA sanctioned horse show.
4.  Any rider wishing to accumulate points toward year-end GOHJA awards.
5.  Any horse/pony owner/lessee wishing to accumulate points toward year-end GOHJA awards.
Note:  Per Rule 1.19.5, "Every rider, owner, lessee, agent or trainer participating in a sanctioned show is required to be a member of the GOHJA...In the event a person does not desire an annual membership in the Association, the person may obtain a show membership, good for the duration of the particular show."
 
What are the benefits of a GOHJA membership?
1.  GOHJA members automatically receive, in the mail, copies of the horse show programs for all GOHJA sanctioned horse shows.
2.  GOHJA members are eligible for very nice prizes and awards at the Year-End Awards Banquet.
3.  GOHJA members do not have to pay a "non-member" fee at the GOHJA sanctioned horse shows.
